Our Puppy Aptitude Testing helps breeders and new owners better understand each pup’s personality, strengths, and potential challenges before they go to their forever homes. Through structured, gentle exercises, we evaluate traits such as confidence, resilience, social attraction, problem-solving, startle recovery, and handling tolerance. These insights make it easier to place each puppy in the right home, set realistic expectations for training, and give every pup the best chance at success. Puppy Aptitude Testing: • Age: 7–8 weeks (ideal testing window) • Duration: 120 minutes • Location: At Breeder's residence • Format: Individual evaluations for each puppy in the litter Areas Assessed: • Confidence and social engagement • Recovery from stress or startle • Problem-solving ability and curiosity • Prey drive and play style • Response to handling and restraint • Energy level and focus Goal: Provide breeders and families with a clear picture of each puppy’s temperament, helping guide placements and setting the foundation for training and lifelong success.
